It’s hard to see a child who is sick, but Luke Beck (in photo above) of Holy Childhood in Mascoutah seems to be taking it in stride.

Recognizing the need for time and talent, three youth groups from the diocese have continued a tradition of assisting the residents of Cairo while spending time each summer supporting the efforts of Daystar Community Program, a diocesan outreach agency.

The readings for Sunday, August 6, Transfigurtion of the Lord, Cycle A, are Daniel 7:9-10, 13-14; 2 Peter 1:16-19; and Matthew 17:1-9.
