Our Lady in Mt. Carmel Church was packed at the 11 a.m. liturgy on Oct. 9 as people celebrated not only the Mass but also the day on which ground would be broken for the new regional parish school.

Each year, one Sunday is set aside as Priesthood Sunday, which this year is celebrated Oct. 30th.
To celebrate the ministry of all priests in the diocese, The Messenger invited people to comment on the qualities in their priests that they most admire.

We are coming into a wonderful time of the year — fall, when the seasons change and nature demonstrates the wonder and beauty of God as leaves turn from green to gold and crimson.
