I looked out over more than 250 young people at the shrine attending an all-day event to help prepare youth for confirmation. It wasn’t the event that struck me but the number of adults who were sprinkled liberally among the young people.

Bishop Edward K. Braxton will give an address at 2 p.m. at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows Guild Center in Belleville.

While Catholic Schools Week is now in the rearview mirror, Althoff Catholic High School junior, Emma Murphy, will remember this one for quite awhile. Her family and her school are proud of her.
