While Catholic Schools Week is now in the rearview mirror, Althoff Catholic High School junior, Emma Murphy, will remember this one for quite awhile. Her family and her school are proud of her.

BREESE — Council 2869, Knights of Columbus this week completed plans for the acceptance of a large class of candidates in honor of the memory of their three members who gave their lives in World War II, namely Paul B. Hemann, Thomas Hummert and Raymond Von Bokel.

Members of the diocesan Office of Hispanic Ministry were among the 100 or more people who gathered January 31 in Belleville to protest the ban on immigrants and refugees among other issues. At present it is suspended, and the courts are deciding what will happen.
