Father Joseph Oganda Reads The Messenger

The diocesan Catholic newspaper has asked a number of people in the diocese why they read the paper.
The Messenger reaches out; it evangelizes, according to Father Joseph Oganda, pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Du Quoin.

“I was talking to a gentleman asking him how he became a Christian?  He said he was visiting a couple who subscribed to The Messenger and asked for a copy. He read through it and this person who was not even Christian was able to become Christian just from the reading of The Messenger,” Father Oganda said. And so, “all of a sudden its doing the work of evangelization,  reaching out to the people.”
